Blazer Vane Update!

So I shot at competition with my 2″ Blazer Vanes  for the first time, and I must say I am quite pleased with the results.

In practice I had to tune my bow sight pins for them, they were shooting higher than my normal Vanetec Vanes, which was interesting as I reckoned the larger profile vanes would have created more drag.

During the days competition I found that you have to be very sure of your shot, everything has to be right, there is no margin for error.

Visibility of the vanes was excellent in low light forest cover.  My arrows shot straight and true, no visible wobbles.  Despite not having a drop away rest, I did not have any clearance issues.

I scored 536 out of a maximum of 560 in a 2 x 14 marked animal round and came 3rd in my category, which overall I was quite please with and I knew where I went wrong on shots, which is quite important, to learn from mistakes!

Here is a photo of a spot kill at 60 yards which I am quite pleased with.
