Why Wrap?
It’s a valid question, why would you use arrow wraps? Well for several reasons, which are fairly obvious.
Ok, you’ve invested your hard earned money in your bow, your rest, your sight, the next big investment is your arrows, and no matter what kind of arrows you buy you won’t come out with much change from €100 or $120 for 12 arrows, so you will want them to last as long as possible.
The first main advantage of wraps is visibility.. It’s easier to find your arrows in the rough if they have arrow wraps.
Uniqueness is the other main advantage, your arrows become unique to you, wraps are so customizable that you won’t come across anyone with the same ones. You can get your name put on them, logos, designs, and also numbers, which is important in competition, and means that your arrow has a good chance of coming back to you if lost!
Protection, is the main one for me, when I fletch my arrows I use the strongest possible glue, I don’t want fletches falling off or getting damaged too easily, but if a fletch does get damaged, I don’t want to be scraping glue off my carbon arrow shaft or using chemicals and possibly damaging the integrity of the arrow. I also find that the fletches adhere to the wraps much better than to the carbon shaft.
We got some wraps to test out from our friends, www.custommadewraps.com. Check out their products, they do everything from arrow wraps to scope rings and dots. The range of choice for wraps is staggering, the site is easy to use and navigate, delivery charges are very reasonable too.

The wraps add about 3.5 – 4 grains to the back arrow, which is about the weight of an average fletch, so it isn’t going to affect the flight of your arrow too much. The instructions were extremely easy to follow and each wrap went on flawlessly!
Fletches went on with no problems, dried in a few minutes, and my arrows were ready to shoot!
I would highly recommend www.custommadewraps.com, definitely worth investing in, you can customize all you want, and hey they look cool!
